My name is Dave Small, and I've collected antique coin-operated vendors since 1991 when I bought my first one at a swap meet in Costa Mesa, CA. My interest lies predominantly in gum, candy, and peanut machines from the late 1800's through the start of World War II, so that's mainly what you'll see here---but I also have other types of vendors tossed in for good measure.

  • Pictures and descriptions of stuff I own now, owned at some point after I started the site (in 2003) but no longer own, or never owned but temporarily possessed. These include any information I have on the model and think is relevant and potentially interesting, as well as any interesting stories associated with the specific machine(s) shown. Interesting to me, anyway, but you be the judge.
  • Other information and links to sites that may interest you.
  • Musings, rants, raves, and articles that may interest collectors or potential collectors.
  • Stuff for sale, most of which was in my collection until it got bumped by other stuff now in my collection. Like all collectors, my spatial and financial resources are finite so I sometimes have to make Tough Choices about what to keep and what to sell. Having said that, using the site to sell stuff is not a high priority for me, so if you're looking for something in particular please email me. I may have it but it may never make it to that page, or I may know someone else who does.
I'm always looking to buy quality original vending machines, especially those made before World War II. Whether you have one machine or many, please contact me so we can discuss exchanging your machines for my money. You can reach me at the email address below.
